B.A., LL.B., LL.M.

Ilinca Iacob

Ilinca graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science from the University of Calgary in 2011, prior to beginning her law school endeavors. She received her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England, in 2014. She subsequently returned to Calgary where she articled at a boutique law firm before being called to the Bar in Alberta in 2016. She began her legal career with Robertson LLP in 2016, before embarking on a leave of absence in 2019 to focus on furthering her education. During this time away from private practice, Ilinca worked in the Private Trust Department of one of Canada’s leading financial institutions, assisting in the administration of high-net-worth estates and trusts.

In 2021, she obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) specializing in Energy and Environmental Law, with her main research focusing on small modular nuclear reactors and their potential deployment to oil sands and mining sites as a way of reducing GHG emissions, allowing Canada to meet its international carbon emissions reduction targets.

Ilinca returned to private practice and Robertson LLP in early 2021. Her current practice focuses primarily on Residential Real Estate and Wills and Estates.

Outside of the office, Ilinca volunteers her time with her international women’s fraternity, serving as an international volunteer in a variety of roles since her graduation in 2011.
